My bar appears at the top of my website page

    My bar appears at the top of my web site page . I have pasted the code after Head and previewed the site and the bar is at the top of the screen. I have also tried pasting it after Body but the same thing happens again. I use Serif WebPlus X2 to make my web sites and i have pasted it in the HTML of the master page.

    I had the same problem in IE. Adding the doctype to my pages fixed it. Add the line below at the very top of your page before the HTML tag:

     

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

    people need to stop using IE it really sucks for web designers

    as for this:

    I cannot use it on my website because it throws off a lot of my tables and stuff. nopt sure why...
